When it comes to Halloween, most people don’t think of romance, but there’s always time for romance if you take the time to plan for it. Here are some ideas for how to make your next Halloween one of romance.

The Costumes

What would Halloween be like without costumes? If you want to add more romance to your next Halloween date, consider getting costumes for Halloween that represent romantic figures throughout time. This could be Romeo and Juliet, Adam and Eve, Mary and Joseph, Cinderella and Prince Charming, and so on. For men, getting their sweethearts a costume in her size that makes her feel beautiful is a great way to show thoughtfulness and make her feel special. Just be sure to let her know ahead of time that you have something special planned for Halloween so she doesn’t make any other plans.

The Date

The next thing to plan after costumes is a date. Taking her to a romantic restaurant is good, but a little cliché.  A better option is to pick a romantic location where you can set up a small table with two chairs. If you choose somewhere outdoors, be sure that the costumes are warm so you and your date aren’t chilled.

Make sure the lighting is dim with some candles about. Order food from your date’s favorite restaurant or cook some food yourself. If there’s specific food that goes along with your costumes, consider using that food or even decorations that fit.

Planning a romantic date on Halloween will truly surprise your sweetheart, and show much more thoughtfulness than one on Valentine’s Day, which is expected.
