Looking Good On A First Date

When going out on a date, everyone wants to look their best. LRG clothes, Nike apparel, Dereon clothing and many other brands appeal to the masses and therefore are usually a safe bet for casual, but sharp looking date attire. Now some may here these brand names and go into a panic over spending a lot of money; in this day and age expenses must be tracked and kept in balance. However, you should know that these brands are quite reasonably priced.LRG clothes, the latest shoe styles and trendy accessories are quite appealing and in demand.

Other ways to look good on a date include making sure your hair and makeup are just right. Good grooming is always appreciated! Don’t believe it? See what happens on a date when you don’t take care of your one eyebrow! Taking the time and effort to do this will not be a waste.

Now of course beauty is not only skin deep; looking good on a date is not all about appearance, it’s about impression too! Guys, how about a bit of chivalry? We’re not saying roll out the red carpet and throw your jacket in a puddle for a lady, but some flowers and good manners will not go a miss! Ladies, the same goes for you too, be considerate, polite, and courteous to your date; it’s the little things that make all the difference.

When it comes to Halloween, most people don’t think of romance, but there’s always time for romance if you take the time to plan for it. Here are some ideas for how to make your next Halloween one of romance.

The Costumes

What would Halloween be like without costumes? If you want to add more romance to your next Halloween date, consider getting costumes for Halloween that represent romantic figures throughout time. This could be Romeo and Juliet, Adam and Eve, Mary and Joseph, Cinderella and Prince Charming, and so on. For men, getting their sweethearts a costume in her size that makes her feel beautiful is a great way to show thoughtfulness and make her feel special. Just be sure to let her know ahead of time that you have something special planned for Halloween so she doesn’t make any other plans.

The Date

The next thing to plan after costumes is a date. Taking her to a romantic restaurant is good, but a little cliché.  A better option is to pick a romantic location where you can set up a small table with two chairs. If you choose somewhere outdoors, be sure that the costumes are warm so you and your date aren’t chilled.

Make sure the lighting is dim with some candles about. Order food from your date’s favorite restaurant or cook some food yourself. If there’s specific food that goes along with your costumes, consider using that food or even decorations that fit.

Planning a romantic date on Halloween will truly surprise your sweetheart, and show much more thoughtfulness than one on Valentine’s Day, which is expected.

Being There on Time

Much of the power structure of a relationship is determined early on through subtle cues. For instance, when you show up to your first date with someone, you set up who is in charge. Typically, the person with more personal power is going to show up later than the more submissive individual. This is a subtle way of showing who’s boss early on without having to say a word about it to the other person.

When you show up late, you demonstrate that you are more worthy than the other person is. If you’re afraid to be the dominant figure in your relationship, this won’t work very well for you. In a lot of cases, a person will actually be so afraid of being late they will show up early. While being early is a sign of courtesy and respect, it isn’t all that attractive. Most people want someone who is going to challenge them, and someone who is willing to show them some disrespect from time to time.

However, the mannerly types are going to continue trying to impose their will on everyone else, and tell you to show up on time or earlier. It’s almost impossible to show up precisely on time, which by default implies that you’ll usually be early to things. As polite as this is when you’re meeting with your boss or a client, when you’re meeting a date it tends to mean you’re being submissive to them. When you submit to your date, don’t act surprised if you get whipped and told that you’ve been bad. This is just how human interactions work.
